On August 21, 2010, ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida is proud to announce that we will be taking part in The Big Heart Paddle.  Below includes detailed information about the event as well as information regarding The Bravery Beads Foundation.  We hope to see you at the event!

The Big Heart Paddle will provide an engaging and entertaining way for the young adults of South and Central Florida area to support a very special charity organization through a “paddle race” that will be held at the Miami Yacht Club. The race will begin at the Miami Yacht Club’s beach. Participants can choose either a 3-mile or 5-mile voyage around Palm Island and Star Island. There will be a pre-race coffee and breakfast, DJ, and a photo booth with a custom graphic to allow guests to remember their experience through fun photographs. A “LEBO” decorated paddle will be auctioned off and a variety of beverages will be available to guests, including beer and liquor. Bravery Bead jewelry will be given to the first fifty registered entries. The Big Heart Paddle welcomes any and all paddle methods and all types of vessels and floats. Participants are welcome to bring their own vessels; paddleboards will be available to contestants who do not have their own. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. The purpose of the Big Heart Paddle is to raise money and awareness for the Bravery Beads Foundation. The Foundation provides improves the quality of life for children battling cancer or other life-threatening illnesses through their Bravery Beads program which is being implemented in hospitals and treatment center throughout the country. The child receives a necklace with special beads to commemorate milestones in their journey to recovery. After the race, the Bravery Beads Foundation will be presented with a donation demonstrating appreciation for the important role they are playing to raise the morale for sick children.

ShutterBox Phoenix was privileged to be included in The Gap’s Outlet SMC conference at the Phoenician Resort on June 28th. Guest enjoyed some customized prints from ShutterBox, delicious food, and a beautiful June evening on the patio of the Phoenician’s Relish restaurant on June 28th. Gap Outlet employees from all over the country got to see firsthand what the ShutterBox experience is all about.

Aboard the Hornblower’s “Dream On” yacht, ShutterBox Los Angeles helped Hungry Girl celebrate the launch of her newest book Hungry Girl Happy Hour (out in stores today – June 22, 2010).  While “Dream On” cruised the Marina Del Rey harbor, guests had an awesome time picking through the prop box to take silly pictures in our photo booth.   Hungry Girl’s guests had the chance to sample her cocktail recipes, such as “Kick’in Key Lime Pie Martini,” “Mojito Madness,” and “Super Sour Lemon Drop,” (all with less calories than the original drinks).  Through out the night guests also played black jack and roulette. For having the most tickets, one lucky casino winner went home with a Hungry Girl iPod Nano!

ShutterBox Los Angeles took  part in the Fun & Fit Fest at Resurrection Catholic School in East Los Angeles.  The festival was sponsored by United Healthcare Group and KaBoom!  A non-profit organization who’s mission is to create great play space through the participation and leadership of communities.  Resurrection’s playground was built earlier that day with the help of volunteers and KaBoom! Attendees had an opportunity to receive free health screenings, sample delicious healthy snacks, and at the United Healthcare’s  booth, attendees had an awesome time taking pictures in our photo booth!  Other participating organizations included AARP and YMCA.

ShutterBox Phoenix was excited to be a part of PetSmart’s “Around the World 2010″ employee fair at their Phoenix headquarters on April 22nd. ShutterBox Phoenix provided two photo booths and custom graphic design for this event. Along with the ability to take ShutterBox photos, PetSmart employees and their families had access to numerous varieties of food as well as access to a petting zoo, inflatable castles, carnival type rides, and numerous other fun items. ShutterBox had the pleasure of being a part of the 4th Annual Kid stock Music & Art Festival presented by Ugg Australia, benefiting OneVoice Scholars Program; a non-profit organization that makes it possible for low income students to attend colleges on scholarships provided by the colleges themselves.  Hollywood families rocked out at the Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills to children’s bands such as Allstar Weekend and The Raymies.  There were lots of fun activates for the kids, like decorating yummy cupcakes from Crumbs Bake Shop!  Among the celeb families that attended Kidstock was Reese Witherspoon, Geena Davis, Ziggy Marley, Giada De Laurentiis, Bill Bellamy, Ed O’Neil, Jason Bateman, Cheryl Hines, and Jim Belushi.

Our friends at Yelp were at it again this week, hosting a special event at Brick House Tavern & Tap in Niles, Il. The fun was in full throttle for the many Yelpers & their guests who enjoyed the awesome spread of sandwiches and appetizers, microbrews & cocktails. ShutterBox Chicago was onsite, taking tons of photos that included customized graphics.

ShutterBox Los Angeles rocked the house at Clinique’s annual national employee event at the St. Regis in Monarch Beach, CA.  This 3 day event ended with a big celebration that included ShutterBox Photo Booths, live music, dancing and cocktails.  Our photo booths were a huge hit and constantly packed with attendees!  When the celebration ended the ladies were sad to see us pack up and leave.  Until next year’s event!  A special thank you to Bob at Golden Boy Staging!

On Thursday, April 22, ShutterBox South Florida was pleased to be a part of the employee lunch at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach resort. The photo booth was available for employees to take pictures with custom baseball graphics that tied into the theme of the lunch.
