ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida is pleased to announce exciting developments with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida.  The Ronald McDonald House is a home away from home for families with critically ill children receiving treatment at any South Florida pediatric hospital.

ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida will take part in the 7th Annual Home for the Holidays event on December 4, 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.  Attendees are invited to kick off the Holiday season with a lighting ceremony at the Ronald McDonald House of Fort Lauderdale.  This will be a night full of live entertainment, music, raffle and silent auction prizes, tastings from different local restaurants and activities for the children and the entire family!

The funds raised on this event will directly support the ongoing operation of the Ronald MCDonald House in South Florida.  Last year’s event generated more than $62,000.  This year, radio partner Power 96, will transmit their Saturday night show live from the House.

Additionally, ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida would like to announce our participation in the Ronald McDonald House Pop Tab Program and Adopt a Meal Program.

The Pop Tab Program has been created to help generate funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.  Did you know that little insignificant tab you pull to open your can of soda is able to make a significant impact on fundraising?  Believe it or not, the metal alloy contained in the pop tab is more valuable than the entire rest of the can.  The pop tabs will be recycled in bulk and the money raised will go right back to the Ronald McDonald House.  Almost any kind of pop tab counts – soda, beer, tuna fish, fruit cocktail, soups – you get the picture!  1 Million pop tabs, when recycled, will provide a nights lodging for 25 familes at The Ronald McDonald House.  Ask us how you can take part in our collection!

The Adopt a Meal Program ensures that families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Miami and/or Fort Lauderdale have home cooked and nutritious meals without taking precious time away from their children.  On ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida’s designated day, we will be preparing either a breakfast, lunch or dinner for approximately 25 to 30 people which we will prepare on site and share some time with the families.  Ask us how you can take part in the Adopt a Meal program as well!

On August 28, 2010, ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida will be taking part in the 5th Annual Macy’s Spelling Bee.  The Photo Booth will feature ShutterBox’s Custom Graphics to make sure everyone leaves with a personal keepsake from the event!

MACY’S 5TH ANNUAL SPELLING BEE — Kids will have the chance to spell the day away at Macy’s Spelling Bee competition at the Aventura Mall on Saturday, August 28th at 2pm. The local winner will win a trip to compete at the grand finale in Macy’s Herald Square in NYC on September 26. Each local winner will also receive a year of online learning from Kaplan Tutoring and a $150 online gift card from Scholastic. The winner of the Final Spelling Bee on Sunday, September 26 will receive a $5,000 Kaplan Tutoring Scholarship and a $500 Scholastic online gift card.

On August 21, 2010, ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida is proud to announce that we will be taking part in The Big Heart Paddle.  Below includes detailed information about the event as well as information regarding The Bravery Beads Foundation.  We hope to see you at the event!

The Big Heart Paddle will provide an engaging and entertaining way for the young adults of South and Central Florida area to support a very special charity organization through a “paddle race” that will be held at the Miami Yacht Club. The race will begin at the Miami Yacht Club’s beach. Participants can choose either a 3-mile or 5-mile voyage around Palm Island and Star Island. There will be a pre-race coffee and breakfast, DJ, and a photo booth with a custom graphic to allow guests to remember their experience through fun photographs. A “LEBO” decorated paddle will be auctioned off and a variety of beverages will be available to guests, including beer and liquor. Bravery Bead jewelry will be given to the first fifty registered entries. The Big Heart Paddle welcomes any and all paddle methods and all types of vessels and floats. Participants are welcome to bring their own vessels; paddleboards will be available to contestants who do not have their own. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. The purpose of the Big Heart Paddle is to raise money and awareness for the Bravery Beads Foundation. The Foundation provides improves the quality of life for children battling cancer or other life-threatening illnesses through their Bravery Beads program which is being implemented in hospitals and treatment center throughout the country. The child receives a necklace with special beads to commemorate milestones in their journey to recovery. After the race, the Bravery Beads Foundation will be presented with a donation demonstrating appreciation for the important role they are playing to raise the morale for sick children.

On Thursday, April 22nd, Bal Harbour Village presented the inaugural “TEN-IN-ONE MUSIC FEST” featuring a program of acclaimed Indie bands along with an eclectic array of talented classically trained local student musicians.  Reminiscent of the Ten-In-One carnival sideshows of yesteryear where ten sequential acts appeared under the same roof, Bal Harbour’s “Ten-In-One Music Fest” featured multiple acts and bands, culminating with Indie darlings Turbo Fruits, followed by headliners and hometown heroes Surfer Blood.  The event was located on Bal Harbour Beach behind ONE Bal Harbour Resort and Spa.

A big thank you goes out to Bal Harbour Village for including ShutterBox South Florida in your event!  All photo strips featured the event logo and provided guests with instant photo souvenirs for the night.

On Saturday, March 27, 2010, ShutterBox South Florida was pleased to be a part of the American Red Cross Ball held at the Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida.  All proceeds from the 28th Annual Event will enable the Red Cross to fulfill its mission to provide relieft to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

It was a truly elegant event which included one of the most beautifully decorated rooms that we’ve ever been a part of.  Thank you to the Red Cross Greater Miami & The Keys for having ShutterBox as a part of your night!

On Sunday March 7th, The Playground Theatre had their annual Tea At The Ritz at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach.  All of the proceeds from the Tea Party benefited The PlayGround Theatre’s Education & Outreach Program, which provided free tickets to 20,000 underserved children and their families last year.  The event was emceed by Louis Aguirre of Deco Drive.

The ShutterBox Photo Booth’s were constantly packed with event goers who not only had an opportunity to take home event souvenirs, they had the ability to get in the Photo Booth with PlayGround Theatre actors who were in full costume from their shows.

On Friday, February 26, 2010 ShutterBox South Florida had two photo booths at The South Beach Food & Wine Festival’s Perrier-Jouët BubbleQ presented by Allen Brothers hosted by Emeril Lagasse and Friends.

An estimated crowed of 2,200 sampled food prepared by 31 of the worlds top chefs and restaurants and enjoyed an endless flow of Perrier-Jouët Champagne.  Both photo booths were occupied by guests all night and guests left with special photo souvenirs.  The photos included ShutterBox’s Custom Graphics Package that incorporated the BubbleQ logo on each print.

ShutterBox South Florida provided a photo booth for the Playboy Golf – PlayerPress Superscramble during Super Bowl week in Miami, FL.  The event consisted of a VIP Players Party at The Sagamore Hotel in South Beach and a Golf Scramble hosted at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac, FL.  The events featured athletes from all sports, celebrities from film and television, Playboy Playmates and Girls of Playboy Golf.

The photo’s featured a great ShutterBox custom graphic and the booth has a custom made booth panel.
