On August 21, 2010, ShutterBox Photo Booth South Florida is proud to announce that we will be taking part in The Big Heart Paddle. Below includes detailed information about the event as well as information regarding The Bravery Beads Foundation. We hope to see you at the event!
The Big Heart Paddle will provide an engaging and entertaining way for the young adults of South and Central Florida area to support a very special charity organization through a “paddle race” that will be held at the Miami Yacht Club. The race will begin at the Miami Yacht Club’s beach. Participants can choose either a 3-mile or 5-mile voyage around Palm Island and Star Island. There will be a pre-race coffee and breakfast, DJ, and a photo booth with a custom graphic to allow guests to remember their experience through fun photographs. A “LEBO” decorated paddle will be auctioned off and a variety of beverages will be available to guests, including beer and liquor. Bravery Bead jewelry will be given to the first fifty registered entries. The Big Heart Paddle welcomes any and all paddle methods and all types of vessels and floats. Participants are welcome to bring their own vessels; paddleboards will be available to contestants who do not have their own. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded. The purpose of the Big Heart Paddle is to raise money and awareness for the Bravery Beads Foundation. The Foundation provides improves the quality of life for children battling cancer or other life-threatening illnesses through their Bravery Beads program which is being implemented in hospitals and treatment center throughout the country. The child receives a necklace with special beads to commemorate milestones in their journey to recovery. After the race, the Bravery Beads Foundation will be presented with a donation demonstrating appreciation for the important role they are playing to raise the morale for sick children.
