Thanks to everyone for coming out and seeing us at the MLB All-Star Game Gala last week, and a very special thanks to Laurie Trell with Kreate Inc  for including us at such an awesome event.  After leaving the Home Run Derby, almost five thousand baseball fans from all over the country were treated to a relaxing, stylish party that featured complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks, our two photo booths—oh yea, and a Cee-Lo concert!  Major League Baseball certainly knows how to take good care of its fans.

 Decked out with a customized MLB design, the photo booths had more than a little touch of Hollywood—with red carpets and theatre ropes provided by our hosts.  The Derby-goers all got a kick out of it, as we had lines reaching across the auditorium all evening!  Thanks again to all who came out and made this such a memorable event.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital held their 2^nd Annual Friends of St. Jude Sugar Ball on Saturday April 16^th and ShutterBox Arizona was there to capture the fun! The Sugar Ball is sweets-themed young professionals networking event and fundraiser with proceeds benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year’s Sugar Ball raised nearly $5,000 St. Jude is a matter of hours!

SJCRH is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases. ShutterBox Arizona will be partnering with St. Jude for future events as well. Congratulations to John and Valerie Parzych!  Shutterbox PHX was pleased to be on-hand  at Paradise Valley’s sumptuous Montelucia Resort & Spa for another of Embellish Your Event’s elegant and elaborate weddings!  Our co-coordinators Jessica and Rebecca bent over backward in every way accommodating us and all other vendors throughout the evening (e.g. a vegetarian meal spontaneously appeared out of nowhere for me).  Thank you so much for such a professional environment– we hope to work with you folks again soon.

 I was tickled to death when midway through the evening, a guest, whose daughter’s own wedding had featured one of our booths, informed us she was going back into the ceremony to make an announcement on our behalf; I have no idea what she said, but five minutes later we were swarmed with eager, photo-hungry guests, and stayed swarmed for pretty much the evening’s duration.  Thank you for the VERY effective plug, Ma’am!

Desire2Learn closed out their annual Virtual School Symposium at the Renaissance Glendale with an 80’s-themed “Wear Your Sunglasses at Night” party featuring the services of Shutterbox Arizona and one of the limitlessly-talented 176 Keys Dueling Pianos acts.  A very special thanks to Meaghan Kay, who took great care of us and made organizing a business convention look as easy as brewing a pot of coffee.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly sixty-five exhausted conventioneers can, on a work night no less, become animated party-hardies with a little help from a wig-and-prop-loaded photo booth–not to mention a piano duo delivering all the party classics from the last twenty-five years (except for Corey Hart).  The evening was good crazy fun for all from start to finish!
